About Pezula Nature Retreat
Set on the Eastern Head of Knysna, Pezula Nature Retreat is a nature-led hotel offering spacious accommodation, wellness, dining and activities along South Africa’s Garden Route.
The retreat is arranged across distinct Naturehoods, where suites, residences and villas are positioned within the natural landscape. Guests can choose from Nature Suites with wood-fired hot tubs, Sky Suites with elevated views, family-focused accommodation and private villas. Spaces open onto indigenous gardens, with views across the Knysna Lagoon, Pezula Championship Golf Course and the Indian Ocean.
Days at Pezula Nature Retreat can be shaped around time outdoors, spa treatments, the Hot Zone with its indoor heated pool, sauna and steam room, relaxing around the outdoor pool, golf, family activities or quiet moments surrounded by nature. Guests can spend time on the retreat, visit nearby Noetzie Beach or enjoy everything Knysna and the Garden Route has to offer.
Whether staying overnight, visiting for a Leisure Day Retreat, travelling with family, bringing a pet along or gathering for an event, Pezula Nature Retreat offers space to slow down and reconnect. With ongoing rewilding, indigenous landscapes and the return of wildlife including bushbuck and birdlife, the retreat continues to grow as a place connected to its natural surroundings.

Zachary’s Grill Room
Conceptualised with our guests and the abundance of fine local produce in mind, at Zachary’s Grill Room we strive to serve only the finest, flame grilled local produce.
Located at Pezula Nature Retreat, Zachary's Grill Room offers diners the best steak in town and a good night out. The dining room boasts classic interiors with endless views over Knysna and the lagoon. Seating is also available outside on decks leading out to natural gardens, lawns and our pool deck. Guests are invited to join us for romantic dinners, family get-togethers, life milestones and celebrations.
Our A-Grade 28-day matured beef cuts are sourced from a local family butchery, Greeff’s Butchery, which takes pride in their produce and service delivery. We use Fry’s Vegan Products which is plant-based, free from antibiotics, hormones, harmful additives, and contain non-GM ingredients.

Noah's Bar & Lounge
Noah’s Bar & Lounge offers a relaxed setting to enjoy a drink before dinner, after a day outdoors or during a quiet afternoon at the retreat.
The spacious lounge features African-inspired décor, comfortable seating and a fireplace, creating a warm setting for signature cocktails, local wines, craft beers and selected spirits
