The Knysna Wayside Inn is one of the most centrally located Knysna accommodation establishments, just a few meters away from shops and restaurants. It features elegantly decorated rooms and free off-street parking. It offers a complementary buffet breakfast freshly prepared every morning.

All rooms at the Knysna Wayside Inn are stylishly decorated with colorful details. Each unit has a private bathroom with shower only and a TV with selected satellite channels. Most rooms offer views of the square with its quaint shops and restaurants Knysna has become known for. Some rooms have doors opening onto a French balcony. Our upstairs rooms have air-conditioning, while our ground floor rooms all have ceiling fans.

On our doorstep you will find Pledge Nature Reserve, a 10ha local nature reserve, with indigenous vegetation, quiet and serene dams and some wonderful trails including the one all the way to the top of the nature reserve, giving you an very rewarding view over the Knysna Wayside Inn, Knysna town, the Knysna Lagoon, the Heads and the Indian Ocean on the horizon. The guided Pledge Nature Reserve Full Moon Walks have become very popular so make sure you include a ‘full moon night’ stay with us! Entrance tickets can be bought from reception.

The Knysna Quays Waterfront, with its many shops, restaurants and different options for boat- and sailing trips on the Knysna Lagoon is a leisurely 15-minute walk. Knysna’s most famous landmark, the Knysna Heads are about 8 minute drive, with our Blue Flag status beaches at Brenton-on-Sea and Buffalo Bay are both less than 20 minutes from the Knysna Wayside Inn.
