About Knysna Backpackers
This Century old Victorian House ( a listed national monument) is the oldest existing Backpackers lodge in beautiful Knysna - a must stop destination on the Garden Route. We offer a comfortable and affordable stay in the heart of Knysna, only a short walk into town. As your home from home, we want you to experience everything our beautiful town has to offer, and will happily assist with day-tours, meals and activity bookings.

Family En-Suite Room
Spacious room with double bed and bunk plus private en-suite bathroom with a separate bath and shower. A comfortable room for a couple or family with high ceilings and original wooden floors. Can accommodate up to 6 with an extra bunk at additional cost.
Private Double Room
Private with twin beds / double bed and chest of drawers and tea and coffee station. Access to a shared communal area and kitchen as well as a shared bathroom.
Dorm Room 1
12 sleeper dorm with bunks in a spacious room with high ceilings and a lovely bay window overlooking town and lagoon. Guests have access to a shared communal area and kitchen.
Dorm Room 2
A private family room with either twin beds/double bed and a bunk bed. This cosy room has a bay window overlooking the garden in a quiet neighborhood. Shared bathroom, lounge and dining facility.
Dorm Room 3
Comfortable 8-sleeper dorm with bunks - ideal for small groups or families. Guests have access to a shared communal area and kitchen. Can be reserved as a private room at full dorm rate.
Dorm Room 4
Dorm room with 3 or 4 double bunk beds. Arrangements can be changed for exclusive occupancy but all beds must be booked at dorm rate.
