Head Over Hills

This standard ocean-facing room has a Luxury Super Hastens king-sized bed that also can be separated as twin beds with an en-suite and open-plan bathroom. The Dolphin Room is perfect for enjoying ocean sunrises in bed and sunsets on the private balcony with deck chairs.

Enjoy watching the sunset and our stunning ocean views from one of the loungers on your private balcony. Alternatively, while relaxing in the spa bath with the stacker doors open, as the bathroom is incorporated into the bedroom. These doors open up the entire width of the room, so you will feel like you are sitting outside! The indoor fireplace creates the perfect romantic ambience during our winter months. One of our T2000 Luxurious Hastens beds is in the Captain’s Suite. You are sure to enjoy the best sleep of your life, along with one of the best views in the world.

This standard room is one of two rooms we have that accommodates twin beds. But the bed can be made up as a king-sized bed on request. This room features the Luxury Superia bed from Hastens, made in the dream factory in Sweden. The balcony with deck chairs looks straight out to sea for a beautiful sunset viewing experience or whale and dolphin watching. The en-suite open-plan bathroom has a standard bath and separate shower.

Our Oyster room is located on the ground floor with a Luxury Super Queen-size bed from Hastens. There is a side view of the Knysna heads and the ocean. The bathroom is en-suite and open planned.

This spacious, open-planned mini-suite is a winter sun trap, ensuring you remain nice and cosy while admiring the views. During summer, guests can look forward to afternoons sunning themselves on the balcony’s loungers and chairs. Our Seahorse Suite has the third of our three T2000, all-natural Luxury Hastens beds, so a great night’s sleep is almost a guarantee! The open-plan bathroom features a standard bath and a separate shower. There is a side view over the Knysna heads and the ocean.

Slightly larger than our other standard rooms, due to its smaller, open-plan bathroom, the Viewpoint Room proves to be a welcome escape. It gets nice and toasty during winters and guests can beat the summer heat by throwing open the sliding door. Just breathe in that salty sea air!
Appreciate the surrounding scenery from the balcony’s deck chairs or sun loungers throughout the day. At night, crawl into the Luxury Maranga Queen size bed from Hastens for a peaceful sleep. A memorable stay is sure to be had.

Wake up in the Luxury Hastens Maranga king-sized bed and admire the vast ocean, spanning in front of you. After getting up, enjoy a hot or cool drink out on the deck, from the comfort of one of the deck chairs or sun loungers. Then, why not work on your tan, look out for breaching whales during whale season or watch a pod of dolphins playing in the waves below? The uniquely designed open-plan bathroom is set behind the bedroom on a higher level, just to make sure that the beautiful view is always in sight.

Luxurious is the only way to describe our main suite. Situated on the ground floor, the Elephant Suite is designed to allow the maximum use of space. Open all the doors in summer to maintain a lovely flow from the room to the deck or light the fire in winter and snuggle up on the tasteful and most comfortable leather chairs. The strategically placed privacy glass on the deck allows you to relax on the comfy couch or one of the loungers while you soak up the sun. Or simply take in the beautiful views of the ocean and the Knysna Heads.

One of three T2000 Luxury Hastens beds, imported from Sweden, take pride of place in the Elephant Suite. You are almost guaranteed a great night’s sleep with this “all-natural” bed and the sound of the ocean literally on the doorstep. The separate bathroom has an enormous shower and even a sauna.

When you stay with us at Head over Hills, you don’t have to leave the hotel for a first-class lunch or dinner. You might not want to miss the stunning sunset, or you may feel like a night in.

In season we serve lunch and dinner daily throughout the year. Our private chef composes a daily à la carte menu where you can choose to have one, two or three courses. So, stay at Head over Hills for lunch and dinner and enjoy the best view in Knysna.
