Nzumba Lodge

Nzumba, located in a high lying area of the reserve, is a traditional farmhouse style lodge with the thatched central lodge looking south toward the Mariepskop in the Mpumalanga Drakensberg. The camp accommodates 10 guests in luxurious, fully serviced thatched chalets with his and hers private bathrooms (excluding room 5).

Wide verandahs overlooking the waterhole provide for relaxation during the day. Nzumba has both a fully-serviced self-catered or catered option, with a variety of wonderful dining areas with which to use. Breakfasts are served in the Kigela, or on a clear day on the lawn overlooking the pool. Dinners can be a choice of in the Kugela, or a candle-lit fantastical dinner in the boma around a fire under the stars.

The Library/Lounge and TV Bar Lounge are situated in the double story main building that provides for perfect viewing over the waterhole from the upper veranda that leads out from the bar lounge. The lounge, with its leather chairs and memorabilia and dining room are evocative of the romantic colonial era.
