Zuleika Country House

Only half an hour away from the Kruger National Park's Orpen Gate, Zuleika Country House is located at the foot of the awesome mountain range of Limpopo's Blyde River Canyon, the largest green canyon in the world ! This 29000 hectare nature reserve abounding in wildlife (leopard, cheetah, rhino, giraffe, hippo, small antelope), features a 33 km gorge with spectacular precipitous cliffs rising up to 800 m from the riverbed. The viewpoints (Bourke's Luck Potholes, The Pinnacle, God's Window, Three Rondavels) allowing the visitor full appreciation of the stunning visual drama that the canyon and its lake afford, are within easy reach. Zuleika's thatched buildings are discreetly tucked away between citrus and mango estates enhancing privacy and peacefulness. There are five double rooms and two self-catering units on the premises. In the main building there is an exhibition hall displaying local art, as well as a curio/craft shop. The atmospheric bar opens out onto the terrace. The seven spacious, air-conditioned guestrooms, which are both private and comfortable, conjure up the latest word in contemporary organic design.
