With all rooms boasting panoramic sea views ideal for whale watching, On the Cliff Guest House is a luxury guest house perched on the Hermanus cliffs. Seven stunning rooms, each elegantly decorated, have king-size beds, private balconies or patios and luxury fittings. The Penthouse is a honeymooner’s delight. Tea/coffee facilities and gowns are just some of the comforts that will make you feel right at home. Watch the whales from your bed or private outside space and listen to the sea gently lull you to sleep each night. Relax alongside the saltwater pool on one of the loungers during the day. Hermanus offers a range of gorgeous beaches and swimming areas, as well as a selection of shops and restaurants. Explore the area as you like, with whale watching cruises, scuba diving, paragliding, horse riding on the beach, fishing, golf, quad biking, sea kayaking, wine tasting at top wine estates surrounding Hermanus, trips to the penguin colony and 4x4 beach picnics all being able to be arranged for you. A short walk from the front gate leads you to the famous cliffs along which you can walk into town or to the New Harbour. Please be advised that check-in time is no later than 18H00. We are happy to accommodate a late check-in by prior arrangement only, unfortunately late check-in fees will apply as we have to keep staff on duty to accommodate this. Ground floor sea facing room, with king size bed, can be made up as twin beds. En suite bathroom consists of a very large shower, single vanity. The room is very spacious, stunning sea views and with a private patio.

First Floor Sea Facing

All our first floor rooms have stunning sea views, very spacious, beautifully decorated, king size extra lenght beds, full en suite bathrooms and large private seafacing balconies.

Penthouse Suite
