About Chelaya Country Lodge
A Bit of Background
Chelaya Country Lodge offers self-catering units and is situated in Somerset West. The Lodge is ideal for couples, groups or families looking for a comfortable breakaway, not far from the city and other attractions.
Accommodation at Chelaya Country Lodge comprises 10 farm-style cottages and 3 rooms-only. These units can sleep between 2 to 11 persons and are equipped with a double, a queen-size bed and or single beds in the rooms, with 1 or 2 bathrooms that have a shower and/or bath, basin and toilet. All ten cottages feature a fully equipped kitchen for self-catering purposes, and a living area.
Other amenities included in most of these units are air-conditioning and a fireplace in the lounge. All cottages feature a TV with selected DStv channels, free Wi-Fi Internet, and access to private braai areas. All guests have access to the two rim-flow pools.
The Lodge also features two function venues that can be hired; known as The Boma and The Khaya.
Chelaya Country Lodge is located a 10 to 15-minute drive from shopping malls, restaurants, Strand beach and other attractions. Stellenbosch and other attractions within the Cape Winelands are also a 30-minute drive away from the property.

Garden Cottage
The garden cottage is set away from the main villa and is spacious and comfortable. It has a double room with a slipper bath and a single room upstairs with two single beds which look out over False Bay. There is a flat screen TV with DSTV, Wi-Fi.
Sunset Cottage
This wonderful cottage has views over a dam and has 3 bedrooms, 1 room with a queen size bed, a second with two single beds and the 3rd room with 2 double bunk beds . One full bathroom and the second only toilet and shower. Braai area, DSTV
Garden Suite
2 interleading rooms one has queen size bed and lounge area, the other room has 2 x single beds, verandah, open fireplace, air-con, full bathroom , small kitchenette with 2 plate stove, fridge, kettle, DSTV, Wi-fi and braai area
The Milkshed
Queen size bed, 2 x single beds, shower, fully equipped kitchen, DSTV, own braai area.
The Stable
One bedroom with a queen size bed, bath, fully equipped kitchen, DSTV, own braai area.
The Waterside
One bedroom with a queen size bed, 2nd bedroom with a double bunk, fully equipped kitchen, DSTV, weber braai.
The Homestead Villa
Four bedroom villa fully equipped kitchen, dinning room, lounge and private bar with DSTV. Four bathrooms.
Courtyard Suite
ROOM ONLY with double bed, in-suite bathroom: shower, toilette and basin. Coffee and tea facilities. Balcony area.
Stoney Pine
Two bedroom Cottage, 1st room 1 double bed with a bath toilet and basin, 2nd room 2 single beds with a shower,. toilet and basin fully equipt kitchen and a wooden deck all around the cottage
Squirrel
This cottage has 4 bedrooms - 1 double bed, 2 x 2 single beds a double bunk. Fully self-catering with a bathroom with toilette, shower, bath, basin and another seperate toilette. DSTV (Hotel package), gas stove, fridge, washing machine and braai area
Duck Pond 1
ROOM ONLY with a double bed and a open bathroom. Tea and coffee facilities availible, as well as DSTV. Rear terrace with a view of the pond.
The Boma
The Boma is a big braai entertainment area with a kitchen and seperate toiletts and a pizza oven that can be used for small functions or small weddings.
Executive Suite
A beautiful cottage with 1 room, 1 double bed, fully eqquipped kitchen, Shower and Bath, DSTV (hotel package), WiFi and braai area. Tucked away from all the other cottage.
Duck Pond 2
ROOM ONLY with a double bed and a bathroom. Tea and coffee facilities availible, as well as DSTV. Rear terrace with a view of the pond.

A walled off house with a small front yard. 3 bedrooms; 1st bedroom: Queen-Sized. 2nd bedroom: Queen-Sized. 3rd bedroom: Double bed with shower. Aditional livingroom and separate bathroom. Tea, coffee, washing, braai and DSTV facilities availible.
