Your hosts, Nelleke and Michael Elston have recently taken ownership of this long-established guest house situated in Caledon Street, located centrally in George. They have introduced a revitalising, contemporary influence, without compromising the home's historic character. Bedrooms are en-suite, have flat screen televisions, DSTV, king/queen sized beds with good quality mattresses and white percale linen. Coffee/tea making facilities and bar fridges are available in all the rooms. Two of the rooms (Room 6 and 7) have a small kitchenette. Guests are within walking distance to many good restaurants, the Beans About coffee roastery, the Botanical Gardens and George Museum. All the rooms have free WIFI. There is a large outdoor swimming pool with deck chairs and towels, a beautiful garden to explore and safe off-street parking. Whispering Oaks is a short 8km drive to Victoria Bay beach, a beautiful little bay perfect for sunbathing or swimming and only 3 km to the local George Golf Course.
