About Highlands Lodge
.Highlands Lodge is situated in the beautiful Waboomskraal Valley, nearly halfway between Oudtshoorn and George on the N12. The lodge is small mountain retreat on the Garden Route in the Outeniqua Mountains. The lodge has a very tranquil and natural atmosphere with ample bird life, large lawn areas and indigenous trees making it a lush oasis.
The lodge has 16 free-standing wooden log chalets. The chalets are self-catering, but service-on-demand is available on request. Each chalet has its own private entrance, open-plan kitchenette / living area and a braai area outside.
Some of the Chalets has an inside fireplaces.
The lodge offers a communal swimming pool area, children's playground and jungle gym. Secure parking next to the Chalets is available.
As this is a mountain retreat there is no TV’s in the Chalets or Wifi available.
This is a nice quiet place to recharge your batteries from a busy city life. It is centrally located, only 20 km from George and 40 km from Oudtshoorn.

2-Sleeper Cabin (with Fireplace)
The 2-sleeper cabin has one bedroom with a double bed and an ensuite bathroom with a shower. The open-plan kitchen and lounge have a fireplace for the cold winter nights. For warmer evenings, there is an outside braai (barbeque) area. No TV or Wi-Fi.
4-Sleeper Cabin
Our 4-sleeper cabins have 2 bedrooms with a double bed in the one bedroom, two single beds in the other, and a shared bathroom with a shower. These cabins have an open-plan kitchen and lounge area that opens onto a balcony. No TV & Wi-Fi.
6-Sleeper Cabin (with Fireplace)
The 6-sleeper cabin has 2 bedrooms with a double bed in the one bedroom and two bunk beds in the other. The two bunk beds can sleep four children. The cabin has an open-plan kitchen and lounge area that opens onto a balcony. No TV & Wi-Fi.
2-Sleeper Unit (Overnighter)
This 2-sleeper unit is a spacious room with a double bed, sitting-area, ensuite bathroom, and kitchenette equipped with coffee and tea making facilities.
No TV or Wi-Fi.
5-Sleeper Cabin
The 5-sleeper cabin has 2 bedrooms with a double bed in the one bedroom, three single beds in the other, and a shared bathroom with a shower.
The cabin has an open-plan kitchen and lounge area that opens onto a balcony.
