About Forest Edge Nature Lovers' Retreat

Forest Edge is a private, tranquil, eco-friendly retreat nestled against an indigenous forest outside of Knysna.

It features features barbecue facilities, a children’s playground and a lush garden. The individually decorated cottages come with a terrace overlooking the garden and forest. It is equipped with a seating area, TV and DVD player, and fireplace.

Each cottage has a private entrance and the bathroom includes a Victorian bath and outdoor hot water shower. Free WiFi and satellite TV are available in some units.

Forest Edge’s free-standing self-catering units have a kitchen containing an oven, microwave, refrigerator and kitchenware. It includes a dining area.

Breakfast is served at the Lily Pond Deck at an additional charge and should be arranged in advance.

Each cottage has a library of books and guests can relax in their hammock whilst reading a book. Activities include picnicking and bird watching and other facilities available include a splash pool, kiddies play area and a meditation corner.

The entrance to the SANPARKS Reserve is only 1.4km from our gate - there you can Hike, Bike, Swim and Picnic in pristine nature. The Wild Oats Farmers' Market and beach is a 30-minute drive away. Knysna lagoon and town is 22 km away, and George Airport is 1 hours’ drive.
