About A Farm Story Country House
A Farm Story Country House is found on a working dairy farm (Kasselshoop) on the Southern Cape Garden Route.
Situated just off the N2, 8km from the Stilbaai turnoff, this romantic 1800’s homestead is quaint, yet quirky and stylish, and is filled with interesting historic artefacts.
The house played an important part in the history of the Cape, with the stables being used as a field-hospital in 1902, during the Anglo-Boer War.
A Farm Story offers 3 spacious bedrooms, each en-suite with a bath, shower and toilet. One of the double rooms has a fireplace and there are electric blankets on each bed. Rooms can be rented individually, or the unit booked as a whole.
Due to us not holding a liquor license, you are welcome to bring your own drinks. Lunch and dinner is available by prior arrangement. Included during your stay is a delicious Continental Breakfast which is served in the Cape Dutch style dining room.
There is plenty of open space for children to run-around and play. There are no TVs but plenty of games for family entertainment.
