About Kleinrivier Wilderness
Black Eagle camp is a 5 minute walk from the car park (so pack accordingly) but the effort is well worthwhile. Shaded by ancient Forest Elder and Tierhout trees your tent is a cool oasis on a hot Karoo day.
Each carpeted tent has its own deck overlooking the Kleinrivier cliffs and stream. Little luxuries that will make your wilderness experience that much more enjoyable include sprung mattresses, hot shower, fridge and a loo with a view.
Black Eagle sleeps 8 in four double tents, one of which is slightly smaller than the others. The parking is accessible in a normal sedan.

Accommodation Options
Stone Mountain Lodge
Stone Lodge sleeps 6 in 4 single and 1 double bed. The lodge is serviced prior to your arrival - All linen and cooking utensils are supplied. Access to the lodge is via a steep track which requires a 4x4 with low range and did lock.
Black Eagle Tented Camp
Four tents, each sleeping 2 guests. Spring mattresses, carpets, hot showers and a flush toilet make for a comfortable stay in a wilderness where the birds are your alarm clock. A well equipped kitchen leads off of a large deck with a central fire pit.
Dassiekrans 1
Dassie 1:Sleeps 3 in a queen size and a single bed. The outside fireplace is next to a small stream with a natural plunge pool to keep you cool in summer.
Soetdorings Campsite
Only one party is booked into Soetdorings at a time. There is space for four or five tents but only one shower and one toilet so this limits the number of guests we can accommodate. There is a covered seating/cooking area in case of inclement weather.
Dassiekrans 2
Sleeps 2 in a king size or two single beds. This unit overlooks a small stream.
Dassiekrans 3
Sleeps 2 in two single beds.There are beautiful views across the river.
Dassiekrans 4
Sleeps 4 in a king bed and two single beds. The indoor fireplace will keep you warm. The view is up the valley to the mountains beyond.
