About Horseshoe Game Reserve
Horseshoe Game Reserve is an eco-friendly, self-catering establishment situated 25 km from East London in the Eastern Cape. We have a self-catering cabin and 2 self-catering tent camps with communal facilities. High clearance vehicles are advisable, but speak to the manager to confirm current road conditions. Come and see the African sun set from the deck of the cabin while sitting back and relax .
Guests can go on unguided walks or self game drives to view the game, or go for a hike in the valley on one of our hiking routes.

Self-Catering Cabin
Cosy eco-friendly, self catering cabin with 2 bedrooms (double bed and two twin beds, both en-suite), a kitchenette, open-plan lounge/dining area and balcony overlooking the valley. Outdoor braai area is covered. No hairdryers allowed.

A private tent, surrounded by bush, overlooking the valley, Parking is 30 m from the tent. No 220V electricity, 12V lights in the tent and living areas, Socket in kitchen for phone charging. Communal kitchen & ablution. Own braai. Wood 4 sale.
Private Tent camp
This private tent camp is situated in the valley. It can cater for a group of up to 8 people in 3 separate tents. Each tent has its own braai area or the braaigrid in kitchen can be used . Shared ablution available for the group. 12v port in kitchen.
T1 2 Single beds. Tent on deck in valley
Private tent with two single beds tucked in a valley . Communal kitchen and communal ablution with hot water. 2 plate gas stove and 12v camp refrigerator. No electricity, only one 12V socket in kitchen. Kitchen and braai area overlooking the valley.
T2, Family tent on deck in valley
This unfenced camp has 3 private tents tents & are build on decks surrounded by bush. Communal kitchen & bathroom with gas geysers. Only 12v electricity available in the camp. Sockets available in the kitchen area to charge your phone.
T5, Family tent on deck at river
A private safari tent on a deck overlooking the bush near the river. 50m away from the communal kitchen and ablution block
T4, Double bed on deck at river
The tent is on a deck with a beautiful view of the mountain & bush . It is unfenced so wildlife roams freely around the tents. The communal bathroom and kitchen are very near to the tent. Birds singing will be your morning wake up call.
T6 2 Single beds near river A-frame
A-frame tent near our reception area. You can park at your tent. Communal kitchen and ablution only 50m form the tent. Tent is under a tree with own braai.
T7 A-frame King, 2 singles & 2 stretcher
Tent with a King size bed, 2 single beds and 2 stretchers. Own braai and communal kitchen and ablution only 50 m away. You can park at the tent and it is in an unfenced area on a game farm.
T9 2 single beds & 2 strechers @ River
The tent has 2 single beds and 2 strechers. Linen is included. The tent is located near reception. You can park at your tent. Braai facility’s are available.
T8 A-Frame King & strechers @ River
Ground level A-frame tent in Riverside tent camp. King size bed and two strechers. Bedding and towels are included. Shared fully equipped kitched and shared ablution block
