Greys Gift Lodge

Grey's Gift Lodge is situated on the ridge of a hill, with a panoramic view of the valley and mountains. The area surrounding the lodge is exuberant with a rich variety of wildlife and a beautiful landscape, dotted with watering holes. From the large terraces at the lodge, one can gaze upon large herds of kudu, impalas, zebras, warthogs and other exotic species.

The lodge has a large dining area with an indoor barbecue and fireplace, indoor and outdoor lounges, bar, a games-and-TV room, guest toilets and six guest rooms. In addition, there are large outdoor areas which include a swimming pool, sundeck, outdoor barbecue and a campfire site.

The guestrooms are spacious (50 sq m). Each has a private terrace with spectacular views. It is the perfect place to enjoy morning coffee at sunrise, watching the wildlife awaken to greet a new day. Each guest room is decorated to a unique theme. All rooms are comfortably equipped for a nice relaxing evening, and include a large double bed (can be separated into two single beds), a comfortable seating area with a sofa-bed, a fireplace, refrigerator, TV with DVD player and a stereo. Additionally, all rooms have modern en-suite bathrooms with a bathtub.

The indoor restaurant and dining room is a spacious and open area with a fireplace and indoor barbecue (braai). The dining room is surrounded by screen doors that can be opened so that diners may fully take in the magical African evening. Traditional South African dishes are meticulously prepared. Naturally, African game is on the menu, as well as lamb and beef from the lodge’s farm. The meat is cooked on the traditional barbecue – a braai. Every aspect of a dining experience at Grey's Gift Lodge is designed evoke the local themes of sociable hospitality, and the unique South African ethos.
