About Branksome Country House
Branksome Country House warmly invites you to enjoy its spacious and beautifully decorated accommodation situated on a working farm, nestled between Barkly East and Rhodes in the scenic Eastern Cape Highlands. Our five generously sized bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom, comfortably accommodate ten adults and ten children. Every uniquely decorated room features a private patio, a comfortable lounge area, and a coffee station, making it ideal for solo travellers and couples. The loft space within each room provides a charming sleeping nook for children, adding a special touch.
Relax in the welcoming lounge and dining area, which includes an open kitchen equipped with a gas stove, electric oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, and all the utensils you'll need for self-catering. The nearby bar boasts a large indoor braai area for relaxed barbecues, protected from the elements. Step outside onto the north-facing patio, the perfect place to unwind with sundowners while soaking in the peaceful mountain views. We invite you to enjoy delicious, home-cooked meals that can be arranged with advance notice, making your stay even more enjoyable. The accommodation is serviced daily, and complimentary WiFi keeps you connected.

Ed's Hopper
This room has a queen-size bed and a single-bed downstairs. The loft area is ideal for children and is equipped with two single beds. This room is themed around fly fishing and the rainbow trout which inhabit our stunning rivers.
Harebell Room
This room is ideal for two single adults sharing a room as it has two queen beds and a sleeper couch downstairs. Harebell is themed in a floral theme, inspired by the local flora in the region.
Greywing Room
This room has a king-size bed downstairs. The loft area is ideal for children and is equipped with two single beds. The room is decorated in a theme inspired by local birds, many of which are unique species native to the region.
Monarch Room
This room has a queen-size bed downstairs and a loft area with two single beds. Named after a beautiful stallion who was a loyal companion to Boysie Vosloo, the first of our family to settle and farm in the region.
Archer Room
This room has a queen-size bed and a single-bed downstairs. The loft area is ideal for children and is equipped with two single beds. This room is named after one of our most beloved pointers, Archer, who was an invaluable part of the Vosloo family.
