Riebeek-Kasteel is one of the oldest towns in South Africa, situated at 80 km north-east of Cape Town in The Riebeek Valley together with its sister town Riebeek West.

The Riebeek Valley is well-known for the annual Olive festival in early May and it's world-class Swartland Wines.

Solo Studios has become an annual event and features the many top artists who live in the Valley who open their studios to the public and is well on its way to becoming one of the premier art events in South Africa.
