About Dunns Castle Guesthouse & Conference Facilities

Dunn's Castle stands alone in the middle of undulating fields of wheat, green vineyards and flowering canola. It was built in the late 1890's for George Dunn and designed by Sir Herbert Baker offering cozy rooms with Victorian finishes. There are five double rooms in the Castle complete with country decor, a fireplace and bath, all have double beds. At present we can accommodate 60 guests in total on a Bed & Breakfast or Dinner, Bed & Breakfast basis or self-catering. Three self catering cottages from the period with secure parking will cater for two to three people each. We have added another 20 new self-catering units that are fully equipped and sleep two persons each. We also have two exclusive suites for that really special occasion. We have two conference facilities with Audio Visual Room to cater for all business needs. The Castle offers a peaceful retreat from the busy lifestyle we all experience. Enjoy a refreshing drink on the patio and gaze out on the amazing view of the entire Swartland.

King's Suite King Bed
An extra luxury large three roomed suite incorporating lounge, TV Room, Bedroom and really special wood panelled private bathroom / reading / relaxation area fit for a king and his queen. Meals served private in own dining area. Extremely exclusive.
Queen Suite D/Bed
A two roomed suite with lounge and bedroom incorprating a victorian bath suite with fireplace., tea / coffee station in lounge. Recently renovated and exclusive for that special occasion.
Luxury Units D/Bed or Twin Beds
Upmarket rooms with an extra touch of class. Basically a Hotel Room with Tea/ Coffee. Dinner & Breakfast to be booked for Dining in the Castle in advance. Optional Double or Single with modern shower.
Air Conditioned S/Catering Room Twin Bed
Built on a sloping terrace. Modern to the extreme with full kitchens and en suite bathrooms. Fully kitted kitchens all with patio's and a view to die for over the entire Swartland. Sleeps 2 persons on single beds. AIRCONDITIONED ROOM
Standard S/Catering Rooms Twin Beds

Old World Chalet 3 x S/Beds
A self catering room as part of the guest suite a hundred years ago. Very elegant and comfortable with all amenities and own braai facilities. Very popular with our guests for that all important get-away on the weekends. 3 x single beds and shower
Victorian Castle Room D/Bed
Basic double rooms in the Castle for the visitor or businessman who would like to spend the night in the Castle to experience the atmosphere and ambiance as well as the tranquility. Fireplace with Bath
