About Gentle Presence
Heritage Experience - The original Cottage was a horse stable built in the early 1900’s and is amongst the oldest homes in Clarens. Farmers gathered here with ox-wagons to share Community concerns and Holy Communion. The stable is now a self-catering Cottage sleeping 6 guests. It has been lovingly restored using a mixture of antiques and modern furniture. It oozes bygone charm while offering guests a large garden and stunning mountain views.
Tucked in the bottom of the garden, you will find Cottage 2. This has been renovated to be a cozy couple's unit from an outer building. It is decorated to enhance a romantic and intimate experience for guests to unwind and rejuvenate away from the everyday hustle and bustle.
The Cottages have their own entrances and parking area, as well as braai and firepit areas. We are close to the town square with its many events, restaurants, etc and just 20 minutes from Golden Gate National Park.

Rooms have queen beds with exceptional mountain views - shared balcony. Towels, linen, electric blankets, and extra blankets provided. 2 Bathrooms with shower over bath. Queen Sleeper Couch for 2 in living room.
Gentle Presence - Cottage 2
Newly renovated open plan bedroom with kitchenette (no oven), best suited to couples. The bathroom has a walk-in shower. You will enjoy garden and mountain views from the bed and patio where there is a built-in braai, firepit, and outdoor dining.
