Clarens Butterfly Beds

Berg Cottage is a charming sandstone dwelling which was built from blocks hewn from the mountain by a "bywoner" in 1929 in order to qualify for the hand of a local farmer's daughter.

It retains the character and simplicity of that era while incorporating the comforts of today. It fulfills a need for those who enjoy outdoor pursuits but like some comfort at the end of a day's exercise. It does not offer expensive luxury but all that you need for quiet country comfort.

Accommodation consists of three bedrooms, two with queen beds and one with two single beds. Linen and towels are provided and for the chilly winters, there are electric blankets on the beds.

There is a fully equipped kitchen with electric stove - unfortunately the Aga-Stove is out of service. The dining room offers seating for dining comfort. There is a lounge with TV and using the free Wifi, you can stream Dstv or Netflix off your own account.
