Pelican Lodge

Pelican Lodge is situated on the water’s edge of the Zeekoevlei Nature Reserve (which protects 258 hectares of a large freshwater vlei as well as Strandveld and sand Fynbos vegetation) and offers panoramic, undisturbed mountain and lake views. Accommodation at the Pelican Retreat Centre caters to large groups and also found on the premises are fully-equipped guest cottages.

A variety of bird species can be spotted at the centre. In addition to birds, other animals might be spotted such as the cape clawless otter, mole snake, western leopard frog or even the critically endangered butterfly named Barber’s Ranger. Visitors can also go canoeing as there are 4 canoes available for use. Other leisure facilities found at the Pelican Retreat Centre includes the swimming pool and the games room.
