Long Street Backpackers

Long Street Backpackers is one of the original backpackers in Cape Town. It is famous for its friendly atmosphere and fantastic location. Set in a private oasis in the centre of Long Street, there are loads of eating, drinking and partying venues literally on your doorstep. This Cape Town hostel is appropriately one of the busiest year round, and you will always find some interesting characters to share some tips or relax over a cool drink.

Coming up the funky mosaic stairwell you enter a large leafy courtyard surrounded by many small apartments that were long ago converted into backpacker rooms. All needs are catered for with a staff whose hospitality is unsurpassed, a sexy travellers bar, an awesome communal kitchen, sixteen bathrooms, pool table, TV room with cable and DVD, internet access, a huge BBQ and three large balconies to watch the colour of Cape Town’s busiest street go by.
