Marina da Gama is set in Zandvlei Conservation Area. There are several Islands with magnificent white houses. The estuary flows into Muizenberg Main Beach. The vegetation, wild birds and marine life is amazing in this area. The South Easter or North Wester blows during certain months of the year and is known as the "Cape Doctor". Muizenberg is home to the long wave - which is ideal for learning to surf and home to the first surf schools in Southern Africa. Muizenberg has many surf shops and coffee shops - we take both very seriously ;) There is kite surfing, surfing, kayaking, beach walks, the Park Island (in Marina da Gama) Nature Reserve and Bird Hide. There is a lovely craft group that meets once a week in The Village. Kalk Bay is home to some of the best restaurants in Cape Town.
