About Avatara

Avatara is an eco-friendly guest house with high ceilings and polished wooden floors, combining the best of the old and the new. Each of our spacious rooms retains beautiful period features of the Victorian house built in 1881 with modern fittings.

Avatara is situated in a walking safe neighbourhood…only 10 minute WALK to the top tourist destination V&A Waterfront, beach promenade, Award winning Green Point Urban Park with the Cape Town Stadium, Cape Town Convention Centre as well as the Cape Quarter. Table Mountain is a short 10 minute drive away as well as the world’s best voted beaches, Clifton and Camps Bay. We are located conveniently close to over 1000 stylish boutiques, bars and restaurants. Avatara is loved for its ideal location and the characteristic 130 year old building.

There is a communal kitchen and dining room where guests enjoy a buffet breakfast in the mornings. Coming from the Hindi word meaning 'heaven on earth', Avatara is indeed a slice of tranquility beside the bustling heart of the city.
