About Alta Bay
Note that we recently (Oct 2011) converted our 5-star boutique hotel into a 4-star Guest House with 3 luxury units. All the units have a fully equipped kitchenette, private terrace / deck with outside dining table, separate entrance and offers all the 5-star facilities (air-con, satelite TV, bathgowns, wi-fi, safe, etc..). From the plunge pool, guests can enjoy the magnificent sea & mountain views whilst lazing in the sun.
We don’t serve breakfast anymore. However, on arrival, there will be cereals, coffee, tea, bottled water and milk in your room. Should you want to have your breakfast outside, there is a large variety of restaurants and coffee shops (open from 7h) at walking distance (1 km).
We recommend our guests to hire a car during their stay. Alta Bay is located high on the slopes of Table Mountain. Having their own transport will give them the flexibility to explore the region. Alternatively, taxis (incl. Uber taxis) are easily available. Kloof Street with its’ many restaurants is only 1 km away, which is an easy walk downhill. However, to come back is quite an exercise.
Parking on the street is secure on condition that no valuables are visible inside the car. We have one garage which is subject to availability.

Standard Room
The Garden Room (28 m²) below has a separate entrance, a fully equipped kitchenette and an outside deck with a 2-seater dining table. Its bathroom has a shower and no bath.
Superior Room
The Bay Suite (42 m²) is very spacious and offers panoramic views of the bay and the city. It has a separate entrance, a fully equipped kitchenette, a walk-in cupboard and a private terrace with a dining table. Its bathroom has a shower and no bath.
Superior Cottage
The Loft (70 m²) has a fully equipped kitchen, a separate entrance and outside deck with a 4-seater dining table. Its Mezzanine upstairs offers sea views. Its bathroom has bath & shower. A sleeper couch allows accommodation for a 3rd adult or 2 children.
