Welcome to Thorn and Feather Guest Farm ... your private sanctuary in the Southern Cape. Rented on an exclusive basis - there are no other guests present during your stay.

Located in a beautiful, fairly remote area near the hamlet of Vermaaklikheid, roughly 3 1/2 hours drive from Cape Town, 2 hours from the Garden Route, and 40km from the coastal town of Stilbay.

Thorn and Feather is a series of stone buildings interlinked by well maintained walkways. A design aimed at providing privacy and togetherness. There are three separate “sleeping cottages”; a main building including a fully equipped kitchen, dining area; leading to an undercover porch with inside barbeque / braai; and a large open deck overlooking the river, a circular fire-pit, and a plunge-pool.

The property is rented on an exclusive basis - there are no other guests during your stay. The maximum capacity is 6 adults (2 sharing in each sleeping cabin) and 3 children. It is possible to work out other permutations with communication before your arrival.

The Bath House includes a stone clad bath; shower, toilet and bathroom facilities. There is also pool and reading deck on route to the river. Guests have exclusive, free use of Kayaks, canoes, stand up paddle boards, and watersport accessories.
