About Koensrust Sea Farm
Koensrust Sea Farm is a beautiful seaside getaway rich in wildlife and scenery situated on the south cape coast just 3,5 hours from Cape Town. It offers accommodation in 4 rustic self-catering options spread across the farm, each with its own unique surroundings and ambience. With 2 km of remote beach on one side, 1 km of river frontage along the Duiwenhoks river on the other side and 1000 ha of beautiful fynbos in between, Koensrust Sea Farm offers endless opportunities to create that wonderful undisturbed weekend away that you are looking for.
Whether you fall into the ranks of fisherman, walker, runner, swimmer, mountain biker, canoeist, fynbos affecionado, twitcher or if you just like to laze around, then Koensrust Sea Farm is just the place for you to have that break. And we also welcome your dogs.
Our four self-catering options provide the following: bedding and linen, fully equipped Kitchen, electric lights and fridge/freezer, gas stove and oven, hot water for shower and sinks, grids and tongs for the braai, and gas heaters in winter. We also provide you with a certain amount of wood for braaing and you can purchase more from the staff.

Beach Shack
The Beach Shack is an old fisherman’s holiday cottage sleeping 8 in a sandy cove on approximately 2km of secluded beach overlooking a series of rock pools and an ancient San fish trap- evidence that this has been a favoured fishing spot for centuries.
The Yard Cottage
The Yard cottage sleeps 8 in two rooms with queen size beds and one room with 4 singles. It has magnificent views over the sea, the fynbos and the mountains. Your dogs are welcome
The Kapstyl
The Kapstyl is a traditional southern cape cottage that sleeps 6 in three rooms. It has a magnificent wrap around stoep that provides protection from every wind and magnificent views over the fynbos to the sea and the mountains. Your dogs are welcome.
Tented River Camp
The Tented River Camp consists of 3 canvas cabins and a large pit braai on the Duiwenhoks river. Sleep in luxury whilst with only the river and the birds to disturb you. You can fish, swim or canoe in the river. Your dogs are welcome.
