About Noordhoek Sunshine Lodge
The Noordhoek Sunshine Lodge derives its name from the positive feelings experienced by German owners Harald and Elke on their first visit in 2010. They fell in love with the mesmerizing sounds of peacocks, guinea fowls, egyptian geese, meerkats, the hooting owls that appear at night, the iconic fish eagle that soared above and the fresh air that filled the wide-open spaces. As a result they created the Noordhoek Sunshine Lodge, giving birth to a haven of good vibrations, mimicking the warmth, energy and beauty they experienced, and wanted to share this with guests, sharing the majestic beauty they found in the North corner - Cape Town's rural treasure.
Nestled below the majestic Southern Slopes of Chapman's Peak Drive, you will find the Noordhoek Sunshine Lodge, created and designed with German perfection, exuding the owner's quirky and artistic style, evident in every room, with its handcrafted chandeliers and interesting artwork. The Lodge spans 8 000 square metres and once on the property you instantly feel that warm familiar feeling - home away from home, where you're able to enjoy the pure African sunshine, pristine beaches, lush landscape and warm community.
The Lodge consists of four elegantly decorated smoke-free rooms, mimicking perfectly its natural surroundings, and boasts accommodation that is ideal for both a family getaway or to create that romantic couples hideaway experience.
Each of the four suites are designed with a unique theme, and quirkily named after its inspired design: Bird Room, Sheep Room, Africa Room and the Ocean Flat.
Each room offers different facilities, but whatever your needs, preference and reasons for visiting the Lodge, there is a room to suit just that!
Accommodation Options
Bird Room
King size bed that can be converted into two single beds as well as dressing table, TV, safe, small fully equipped kitchenette with cutlery, crockery, kettle etc. as well as microwave, electric stove (two-plate), fridge, toaster, and table and chairs
Sheep Room
Two single beds fitted with linen as soft as clouds and an en-suite bathroom with shower, TV, Safe. There is no kitchen therefore it would be ideal to utilize the B&B option and does not have a balcony.
Africa Room
Romantic four-poster queen size bed, luxury linen, large private balcony, TV, Safe and en-suite bathroom. The balcony is equipped with chairs and table. No kitchen.
Ocean Flat
The Ocean Flat sleeps up to 7, with two single beds in the loft, and adult bedroom located downstairs, with a queen size bed. There are also three sleeper chairs that can be converted into single beds.
Stable Flat
Small Flat with two rooms, bathroom, washingmashine and fully equipped kitchenette
