About Phakamani River Lodge
Built above the bustling banks of the Olifant’s, Phakamani is a riverside retreat set in the heart of the Balule / Parsons Nature Reserve, which forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park.
This 4-bedroom lodge can accommodate up to 8 people in its stylish river view chalets. Each room has a section of balcony which overlooks the surrounding wilderness and winding waters below. Stone lined pathways lead the way from the rooms to the main lodge where you will find the dining room, lounge, bar, infinity pool and sun lounge area.
Take a stroll down to the river and you’ll find a few secluded and shaded seating areas, offering a perfect place to relax and take in the sounds and sights of nature.
Phakamani is situated in the Southern section of the Balule / Parsons Nature Reserve and has access to 3,000 hectares of Big-Five traverse. There are 2 activities per day comprising of a bush walk or safari drive where you can head out and explore this untamed and abundant landscape, the wilderness can be full of surprises.

River View Chalets
Phakamani River Lodge has only 4 rooms and can accommodate up to 8 people, allowing for a secluded and more intimate safari experience. Each of the river-view chalets have two rooms and a large shared balcony which overlooks the surrounding wilderness and winding waters below.
In between safari activities, take a seat on your balcony and watch the wildlife go by. The lodge is located in a Big-Five area are many of the bushvelds inhabitants wander past, from elephants and monkeys to warthogs and waterbuck. The bird-viewing from the lodge is also spectacular, and a vast array of species can be seen soaring above or wading in the waters in front.
Each room is well-equipped for a stylish safari-stay in nature, with comfortable beds, soft linen, AC, modern decor, tea and coffee making facilities and of course the river-view balconies. Phakamani is an ideal safari destination for those seeking an intimate and relaxed wilderness experience in the Greater Kruger Region.
