About Daberas Guest Farm
Daberas is a conservation destination, which shares the western boundary of the Augrabies Falls National Park and is located inside the deeply dissected, lunar landscape of the Lower Orange River Valley. This desert landscape consisting of mountains, dry river beds, rock formations and sand dunes provide ample opportunity to experience off-road driving on old tracks in order to reach the view sites from which the dramatic lunar landscape dotted with quiver trees and the green life line of the Orange River can be observed, or just to explore the area. The Nama Plateau, rising to 1000m in the North forms a perfect backdrop to this setting.
Various other activities such as hiking, game viewing, fly fishing, star gazing, bird watching, sand boarding, etc., can be enjoyed in the tranquility offered this remote destination. "Rock hounds" are able to inspect the fascinating geology (rose quartz pegmatites, etc.) of the area or arrange a "geo-safari" with the owners' transport, which includes a hearty picnic.
Cape Ebony Lodge is comprised of the Safari Luxury Suite which offers accommodation for 2 persons and the Khoi-San Suite which offers accommodation for up to 3 persons. It is eminently suitable for a small group or people travelling together.
