Addo Gateway Lodge

Apart from our 3 bedroom lodge,(3 star TGCSA graded) we also offer 2 new en-suite bedrooms of which one is APD APPROVED, having a full wheelchair accessible en-suite shower/toilet for the physically disabled and one fully quipped with kitchenette, etc, for self catering. We can also offer a 2 bedroomed fully equipped cottage for self catering with private entrance and undercover BBQ/verandah.The lodge has a beautiful view of the dunes and river across the road. We also offer cruising on the Sundays River with the Sundays River Ferry (www.addocruises.co.za)on the Sundays River with prolific bird life and a visit the most majestic dune fields at the river mouth, where we stop for about 40min to do a dune walk and/or sand boarding/sledding and take wonderful pictures of the sea, islands, dunes and Port Elizabeth over the horizon. This dune fields are world reknown as the Alexandria/Colchester dune fields and is the largest coastal dunes along any coast in the southern Hemisphere. Worth a visit. The Addo Elephant National Park's NEW South gate (Camp Matyholweni) is only 4km away from our guest house and only 35km from Port Elizabeth, South out of PE on the N2 - only 30 min drive) at the Colchester/Cannonville turn off.
