The area is renowned for its rocky outcrops of massive granite boulders and the lodge gets its name from one enormous rock that is shaped like a hammer. Hammerstein Lodge & Camp offers sundowner drives into the mountains, sightseeing flights as well as 4x4 trips to Sossusvlei on request.
