House on the Hill

House on the Hill includes three self-catering stone cottages situated on the hill adjacent to the Marble Campsite of Orupembe Conservancy, in the far North Western Region of Kunene. Nestled up on the hillside, this unique accommodation provides unexpected comfort for the weary traveller. The main cottage sleeps four in two bedrooms, while the two additional self-contained cottages sleep two in one bedroom. Solar heating provides hot water in the bathrooms and there are solar lighting systems in each cottage, making these all eco-friendly establishments. The cottages have bursts of orange and red colours emanating from the soft furnishings which accentuate the indigenous wood furniture and have superlative views of the surrounding countryside from their commanding position on the hill. The location of the establishments allows one to do day trips to both the Hartmann’s and Marienfluss Valleys and access to the Kunene River.
