About East Gate Rest Camp
East Gate Rest Camp is an oasis on the Trans Kalahari highway which is the strategic coast-to-coast route linking Maputo, Mozambique on the Indian Ocean to Walvisbay on the Atlantic coastline of Namibia. Buitepos is the main access point to the centre of Namibia and all tourism attractions this vast, sparsely populated country has to offer.
Accommodation at the East Gate Rest Camp is provided in luxury bungalows, 3-bed bungalows, 2-bed bungalows, cabins, caravan and camping facilities. Featured at this establishment is a convenience store, coffee shop/restaurant, BBQ facilities and a swimming pool. Furthermore, the rest camp does currency exchanges and can assist travellers with maps and brochure for their journeys.

A beautiful self-catering bungalow that is family friendly with two separate bedrooms and a comfortable sitting room with a sleeper couch. Includes private braai area, Television, Telephone, Barbecue Pit and Grill
3-4 Bed Bungalow
A spacious family bungalow with two separate bedrooms sharing one bathroom and equipped kitchen area. Each bedroom has its own air conditioning unit.
2 Bed Bungalow
A comfortable and private bungalow including two single beds, equipped kitchen, en-suite bathroom, air conditioning and braai area. Sleeps 1 or 2 people. Linen Provided
Cabin
A simple A-Frame cabin with two single beds (linen included), electricity, braai facilities and access to a shared kitchen area and ablution facilities (no towels)

Shaded camp sites equipped with ablution facilities, electricity and barbecue pits and grills.
Game Camp
A small camping area located in our wildlife-filled game camp about 2km away from the main Rest Camp. Ablution Facilities. Free self-drive game viewing Lapa/braai area and kitchen. Only solar power
