About Moonraker Outdoor Adventure Camp

Just 20 kilometres east of Windhoek lies Moonraker Outdoor Adventure Camp — a welcoming and down-to-earth adventure camp nestled in the heart of the African bush. Ideally located between Hosea Kutako International Airport and Windhoek’s city centre, this peaceful hideaway sits at the base of the Auas Mountain Range. Spanning 2,000 hectares within the Finkenstein Farm, the area has been designated a private nature reserve, created to showcase the region’s natural splendour and rich biodiversity. In 2018, two families joined forces, combining their visions and resources to bring Moonraker to life: a place where people, wildlife, and the environment thrive together in harmony.
A favourite feature is the quaint farmyard, home to a lively collection of domestic animals, perfect for an authentic farm experience. Guided by a deep respect for the environment, the camp promotes sustainable living and a close connection to nature. Moonraker is a true labour of love.
Whether you're curling up with a book on your private veranda, exploring the trails into the surrounding mountains, bonding with the farm animals, or gathering around the campfire under a star-filled sky, this sanctuary offers the perfect setting to unwind, reconnect, and be inspired by the rhythms of nature.

Each cabin has its own unique flair and offers a fantastic view of the surroundings. The veranda provides a place to read a good book, meditate or just sit for hours, listening to the sounds of nature and enjoying the vista. Each of its twelve hand-built wooden cabins is tucked among the thorn trees, thoughtfully decorated with nostalgic treasures gathered over time. Facilities: • Swimming pool • Bar & Restaurant • Fireplace • Deck with a view of the beautiful mountains • Historic Shed with treasures from the past • Farmyard with domestic animals • Wifi at the main lodge building Activities: • Walking Trails • Mule Trails • Visit to the farmyard
