About Tsumkwe Country Lodge

Tsumkwe is situated less than 60 km west of the Dobe border post to Botswana, and 256 km east of Grootfontein in the Otjozondjupa Region. This small town is the administrative hub for approximately 600 inhabitants. The rest of the +/- 3 500 inhabitants live in small villages on the periphery of Tsumkwe.

Nyae Nyae Conservancy; meaning 'place without mountains, but rocky' - was registered in 1998 with a view to conserve and protect this fragile area. It covers a protected area of 1 million hectares of unspoiled wilderness.

In proximity to the Nyae Nyae Pans and Khaudom National Park, Tsumkwe Country Lodge is an ideal destination to reach the Zambezi (Caprivi) Region as well as Botswana via the Dobe border post into the famous Okavango-Delta.

Tsumkwe Country Lodge is the only accommodation facility on the Namibian side that offers 22 well-appointed twin chalets with en suite facilities in a rustic but, yet comfortable style. The two individual self-catering units are air-conditioned and fully equipped for self-sufficient guests. There are 4 private and six communal campsites.

Three large single beds and en-suite shower/toilet - This room accommodates 2 adults parents sharing with two small children between 0-11 years.
Campsite (No Tent provided)
Six grass-covered campsites with communal ablution facilities. Shower / Toilet, electrical point, and water tap. The wash-up facility is at the ablution block. Each site has its own braai area with a grid.
Private Campsite (No Tent provided)
Four grass-covered campsites are private with their own ablution facilities that include a shower, flush toilet, and washup basin. Each has an electric point, outside light, and a water tap. Braai area with a grid.
Self-Catering Twin
Two self-catering units: Both units are next to each other, each with a private braai and outside seating area. The units are air-conditioned with en-suite shower & toilet facilities. Pots & pans, cutlery, kettle, microwave, and fridge-freezer unit.
