About Mafu Haus
Mafu Haus is a rustic house-hotel set on a gentle hill overlooking the golden Bay of Inhambane, enveloped by Nhamua’s farming and fishing community, with Tofo’s bustling surf and dive village just 10 minutes away. The unique and individually designed private rammed earth chalets are comfortable, spacious, well-appointed and equipped with ventilation fans, comfortable beds, private bathrooms, yoga mats and private sun terraces. Guests can enjoy dining at the on-site restaurant serving locally inspired dishes highlighted with the use of fresh produce. Guests can enjoy traditional story-telling by firelight, sailing by dhow to Ilha Grande, working the clay with female ceramic artisans, hunting barrels off Tofinho point and indulging in full body massages.
