O Escondidinho

O Escondidinho Guesthouse is in a recently renovated 19th century building, situated in Stone Town in the heart of Ilha de Mocambique, otherwise known as Mozambique Island. This is one of the most popular hotels in Nampula Province and everything is easy to reach by walking. Enjoy airy and comfortable rooms with high ceilings, simply decorated with wooden furniture and light fabrics. 9 double rooms with garden views have double beds with mosquito nets and fans and seven rooms are air-conditioned and with en-suite bathrooms though the others share an outside bathroom. There is also a large family room with a double bed and four single beds, all under mosquito nets, with a shared outside bathroom. A safe is available at the reception and you can also use Wi-Fi in parts of the hotel. Relax in the seating area near the restaurant and cool off in the swimming pool set in the lovely rear courtyard. You are bound to love the restaurant where excellent food is served – try the lobster (espetada de lagosta) or prawn (camarão) or the delicious mixed seafood (espetada de marisco) or other dishes.
