About Sava Dunes
Sava Dunes is wonderfully situated in a remote part of the Mozambican coastline. Nestled between the area of picturesque Barra and bustling Tofo lies Sava Dunes, surrounded by golden dunes and iconic ocean views.
Sava Dunes tops the standard in regards to location. Built atop sand dunes, the lodge is luxury and eco friendly, running completely off solar power. The lodge strives to provide a tranquil beach retreat yet also minimizing the carbon footprint. There are 5 Ocean Facing Cottages and 1 Garden View Family Chalet, each providing luxury amidst a wild, raw and rugged coastline.
The beach is a few meters from your doorstep, and offers warm waters with a peeling surfable wave ideal for bodyboarding. In season, whale-sharks and humpback whales frequent the area; and bottlenose dolphins are also commonly spotted.
The surrounding area is world-renowned for its ocean safaris - the perfect place for the ocean lover.

Ocean View Cottage
Accommodation at Sava Dunes is perfectly constructed to take advantage of the views of the pristine landscape.
Ocean Facing Cottages each with their own private deck giving rise to sweeping views of the coastline and complete with a hammock, swinging chair, 2 chairs and side table, each cottage sleeps 2 guests, but triples can be arrange for children.
Beds have mosquito nets.
Cottages can either be a double or twin configuration. Twin beds are normally placed right next to each other to be protected by the mosquito net.
Ocean facing cottages have solar heated showers with ocean view windows.

Please note that bathrooms in the ocean facing cottages are open-plan, and partitioned by a curtain between room and bathroom.

There are South African plugs in each cottage.
Starlink WIFI available in each cottage.
Kurhula Garden Cottage
Our Garden Cottage is located down from the main area, in the Gardens of Sava.
Our Garden Cottage overlooks the garden of Sava located on the main access to the lodge. Perfect for a close group of friends or family, the cottage has a large balcony with seating area to enjoy a refreshing drink.
Garden Cottage does not have an Ocean View
The First bedroom has a double bed and the Second Bedroom has twin single beds as well as a sleeper couch.
