About Mkulumadzi
Mkulumadzi Lodge is an intimate safari retreat with just eight spacious chalets, each thoughtfully positioned to overlook the surrounding wilderness from a private viewing deck. Between game drives, guests can unwind beside the infinity pool, enjoy delicious meals in beautiful bush settings, or simply relax and take in the tranquillity of the Shire River.
Set within Malawi's remarkable Majete Wildlife Reserve, the lodge is surrounded by riverine woodland, rolling hills and ancient trees. The reserve is home to thriving populations of elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, black rhino, giraffe, sable, eland, nyala and an impressive diversity of birdlife, reflecting one of Africa's greatest conservation success stories.
Still one of Southern Africa's lesser-known safari destinations, Majete offers a genuine sense of discovery. Expert guides bring the reserve's wildlife, landscapes and conservation journey to life, creating an authentic and rewarding safari experience away from the crowds.
