Chinguni House

Chinguni House is a self-catering retreat located in the southern part of Liwonde National Park, Malawi, nestled at the base of Chinguni Hill with sweeping views over the Chikalongwe lagoon and surrounding floodplains. Ideal for families or groups, the house accommodates up to 10 guests in five comfortable bedrooms with private or en-suite bathrooms. Guests enjoy a peaceful, private setting with excellent wildlife viewing opportunities, including elephants, hippos, buffalo, antelope, predators, and abundant birdlife. The house offers spacious interiors and upgraded amenities, and while it’s self-catering, chef services can be arranged. Best accessed in the dry season, it’s approximately 2.5 hours from Blantyre, with a 4×4 recommended during the wet months. Evenings at Chinguni House are tranquil and immersive, offering a true bush experience under starlit skies.
