About Kande Beach Lodge
Located along the shore of Lake Malawi, Africa's 3rd largest freshwater lake and opposite Kande Beach, Kande Beach Lodge is the ideal beach getaway. The lodge is a short walk from the local public transport stop, making it easy to explore the surrounding areas.
The property houses an array of accommodation options, from camping to beach chalets and a 4-bed cottage with its own private beach access. The campsite, dorm rooms and single cabins, and beach chalets have a shared ablution area while the double and triple chalets have an en-suite.
While staying at Kande Beach Lodge, guests can enjoy an array of activities including canoeing, scuba diving, and horse riding. The lodge can also arrange snorkelling trips and guided tours of the nearby Tonga village.
Accommodation Options
Campsite
The campsite has full ablution facilities and shaded camping areas. Guests that are camping can make use of the cooking area and sinks available.
Dorm Room
Guests staying in the dorm rooms are provided with a pillow and sheet but will need to bring their own sleeping bag. Guests can make use of the showers and toilets nearby the dorm.
Single Cabins
There are 5 single cabins, all of which have bedding provided. Guests will need to make use of the showers and toilets nearby.
Beach Chalets
Located on the sandy shores, the 12 beach chalets have either 2 single beds or one double bed, both offering full bedding and a mosquito net. The beach chalets do not have en-suites so guests will have to use the campsites ablution block.
En-Suite Double/Twin Chalets
There are 4 double or twin room chalets, each of which has its own en-suite bathroom.
En-Suite Triple Chalet
The 2 en-suite triple chalets have one double bed and two singles in each room. There are 2 triple en suite rooms. Each chalet has an en-suite bathroom, fans and tea /coffee provided.
Stone Cottage
The stone cottage has one double and three single beds upstairs while the bathroom, kitchen and dining area is downstairs. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooking pots, crockery, cutlery, and a fridge. The stone cottage has its own front garden as well as access to the beach and a parking bay. The two cottages are placed next to each other on the beach front.
