About AfriCamps at Bonamanzi Game Reserve

AfriCamps at Bonamanzi Game Reserve is set within a 4,000-hectare private game reserve, offering guests a unique glamping safari in KwaZulu-Natal, located between Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park and iSimangaliso Wetland Park. This reserved is renowned for its on-site game drives, guided bush walks, and birding river cruise. Guests can encounter four of the Big 5 including elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard, and over 400 bird species on the reserve.

As a proclaimed Natural Heritage Site since 1995, the reserve boasts diverse landscapes, including Sand Forests, Savanna, and Wetland areas, making it a premier birding destination in Southern Africa. From the eastern side of the farm, take in breathtaking views of False Bay, the widest section of Lake St Lucia. For a peaceful sunset, unwind at the lookout deck at Lalapanzi Dam.

Apart from our 10 self-catering glamping tents, the property offers a beautiful communal pool area where guests can cool off or laze the afternoon away overlooking the beautiful surroundings. We also offer the perfect setting for team-building events, with versatile conference facilities and group activities. Each tent also boasts an outdoor wood-fired hot tub, the ultimate form of relaxation, especially with an African sunset in front of you.
