About Camp Maru
Okavango Hidden Gems introduces Amber River Camp and Camp Maru. Located in a secluded private concession in the southern region of the Okavango Delta, just 80km from Maun (or 23 minutes by helicopter), is a new collection of two camps, tailored to guests looking for authentic, natural luxury. Situated on a permanent channel, bordering Moremi Game Reserve, South of Chitabe, this concession offers exciting, game-rich safaris year-round. The vegetation and ecosystems of the concession are incredibly varied - from open savannah dotted with acacia trees and grassy floodplains to permanent water channels and small islands to explore by mokoro or motorised boat.
Our guiding philosophy - “Touching the Earth Lightly” - influences everything we do, from selecting a building style to choosing guest amenities.
Camp Maru is currently closed and will reopen in 2023.
