Cape Town & Kruger Safari

8 Days

Overview

This tour combines a visit to the cosmopolitan city of Cape Town with a fly-in to one of the most celebrated private reserves adjacent to the Kruger National Park for your safari. It’s a great option if you don’t have much time, or you can use this as a base and add on extra destinations such as the Garden Route, Panorama Route or a beach holiday in Mauritius or Mozambique.

The accommodations we showcase are flexible. We’re can make this a relatively low-cost trip with comfortable, chic guest houses & lodges or give you a high end luxury experience with all the trimmings.

You will be met upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport and transferred to your guesthouse/ hotel for check in. We will arrange for your rental car to be delivered to your lodging, and you can commence your exploration of this beautiful city at your leisure.

Cape Town is consistently rated one of the best - if not the very best - city in the world. Your options here are endless, each more thrilling than the last. Summit Table Mountain on the aerial cableway, swim with penguins at Boulders Beach, take a boat trip to Robben Island where former president Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 18 years and visit the vibrant V&A Waterfront for shopping and sightseeing. Take a day trip out into the Cape Winelands and gorge yourself on premium food and wine on some of the most beautiful estates in the world. For some R&R, head to the white sandy beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton for sunbathing, sundowners and surfing.

Local tip: Camps Bay beach is where you go to be seen, but locals head next door to Glen Beach, a quieter spot that is generally less windy and free of hawkers and crowds of tourists.

After dropping off your rental car at Cape Town Airport you'll board your flight to Kruger. Undoubtedly South Africa’s most iconic game-viewing destination, the Kruger National Park needs very little introduction. The park spreads across an enormous 2 million hectares of land in the north-eastern corner of South Africa. It is the second largest national park in Africa and home to th Big 5 as well as over 500 bird species and the many smaller safari animals that are sometimes overlooked.

You'll stay in a private lodge on one of the concessions adjacent to the Kruger National Park, reserves which offer some of the most comfortable and luxurious safari lodge accommodation on the continent.

These reserves also present outstanding wildlife sightings, giving you unmatched safaris experiences. Alongside traditional game drives, you can enjoy 4x4 trails, overnight wilderness trails, walking safaris, a golf game and incredible stargazing in the clear night sky.

After your morning game viewing activity, you will be transferred to the lodge airstrip or nearby airport for your onward flight home or to your next destination.
