Overview

Tuningi Safari Lodge is set in the heart of the world-renowned Madikwe Game Reserve, a 75 000-hectare malaria-free Big Five game reserve bordering Botswana. Understated elegance greets visitors to this private and exclusive Lodge where a warm friendly welcome sets the scene. The main lodge is spacious and luxurious with a rim-flow pool overlooking a waterhole, and a tent set up in the garden for children to play in. Walkways lead to the spacious and stylish air-conditioned thatched chalets each with fine percale linen, bathroom, fireplace, private deck, and alfresco shower. Two Family rooms with two en suite bedrooms and adjoining living areas are perfect for families looking for extra space. Little Tuningi sleeps 6 and can be booked exclusively, offering a private boma, pool and vehicle. Rise early to be guided by your knowledgeable ranger in an open game vehicle in search of the Big Five. Lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard are sighted frequently, as well as the rare black rhino and wild dog, for which the reserve is renowned. Be pampered, relax and experience Africa.

Each beautifully appointed spacious Suite, with a comfortable lounge area, has its own gas fireplace. Air-conditioning and ceiling fans offer cool respite in the summer months. The spacious bathrooms are a real treat at Tuningi Safari Lodge each has an oversized bath with fabulous views and a private alfresco (outside) rock shower. Each unit has a private deck.

Child Policy

Children 2 to 12 years pay 50% of the per person (adult) sharing rate when sharing with 2 adults in a Luxury Suite.

Cancellation Policy
All Seasons:
Cancellations 0 to 14 days prior to arrival 100% cancellation fee.
Cancellations 15 to 30 days prior to arrival 75% cancellation fee.
Cancellations 31 to 45 days prior to arrival 50% cancellation fee.

No-show bookings will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
Early departures will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
All cancellation fees are calculated based on total room charge.
Should travel not be possible due to any COVID19 related cause or government restrictions we will allow deferral of travel for 12 months within the corresponding season.

These Family Suites are not only perfect for families looking for extra space but offer all the same comforts and finishes of the Luxury Suites. They are made-up of two en-suite double bedrooms, and are joined by a dining area, kitchenette, and a living room with an expansive timber deck from where the surrounding beauty can be appreciated.

Family Suites are charged as a unit rate for 4 guests. Children pay adult rate in a Family Suite. Additional children from 5yrs old sharing with adults in any suite is subject to availability.
