Overview

Sanbona Wildlife Reserve is in the heart of the Klein Karoo, just a three-hour scenic drive from Cape Town along Route 62 aka the longest wine route in the world. At the foot of the Warmwaterberg Mountains, Sanbona is all about wide-open Karoo plains, indigenous flora and fauna and unique San rock art, some of which date back more than 3 500 years. You have a generous selection of accommodation to choose from, depending on your preferences and travel group. Dwyka Tented Lodge is comprised of nine luxury tents with private decks and heated jacuzzies for a secluded, romantic escape. Tilney Manor is a refuge of tranquility. Six spacious open-plan suites, each with their own fireplace and private veranda, cluster around a communal area that includes luxurious lounges and a rim flow pool. Gondwana Lodge is the perfect sanctuary for families, friends and groups, with interconnecting rooms, indoor and outdoor play areas and a child-friendly pool. There is a kids on safari programme that will thrill the little ones with educational and recreational wildlife experiences. Guests from all three lodges can enjoy the Relaxation Retreat spa with a great variety of therapies and treatments, including a steam room. Sanbona has its own open land cruisers for game drives at sunrise and sunset, during which you'll see elephant, lion, cheetah, buffalo and numerous antelope species.

Each room can accommodate a maximum of 2 adults sharing with 1 child, subject to availability of rooms with sleeper couches. Four pairs of rooms at Gondwana Family Lodge are inter-leading. Each of these options have several features, such as: Air conditioning, under floor heating, private mini bar, private deck or balcony, tea and coffee making facilities and an electronic safe.

Child Policy
0 –3 Years old are accommodated at no additional cost must share with adults, depending on the availability of cots and/or rooms with a sleeper couch. Infants are not permitted on game drives. 4 –11 Years old are accommodated at 50% (half) of the adult sharing rate. May share with adults, depending on the availability of rooms with a sleeper couch. Children 4 - 11 years are permitted on game drives •Sleeper couches can accommodate a maximum of one child.
Cancellation Policy
High Season: 01 October - 30 April
Cancellations 0 to 14 days prior to arrival 100% cancellation fee.
Cancellations 15 to 30 days prior to arrival 50% cancellation fee.

Low Season: 1 May - 30 Sept / 1 - 15 Dec
Cancellations 0 to 7 days prior to arrival 100% cancellation fee.
Cancellations 8 to 14 days prior to arrival 50% cancellation fee.
Cancellations 15 to 30 days prior to arrival 25% cancellation fee.

No-show bookings will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
Early departures will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
All cancellation fees are calculated based on total room charge.
Should travel not be possible due to any COVID19 related cause or government restrictions we will allow deferral of travel for 12 months within the corresponding season.

The Manor offers six spacious open-plan suites leading on to private verandas. All suites can sleep a maximum of two adults. Each of these suites have features such as air conditioning, tea and coffee making facilities, his and hers outdoor showers, en-suite bathroom with shower, twin basins and freestanding bath in the centre, private mini bar, electronic safe and a fireplace.

For those who enjoy camping, but also appreciate luxury, these tents invoke the feeling of a pioneering adventure. Each luxury tent can sleep a maximum of two adults. There are 9 suites that can be configured as or twin or king bedded luxury tents, each of which have all the luxury amenities to make your stay comfortable.
