Overview

Lemoenfontein lies in the heart of the Karoo, against a backdrop of the majestic Nuweveld mountain range with views over Beaufort West and the vast Karoo plains. Built in the mid-1800s by an English gentleman and once used as a private hunting lodge, today comfortable farm style bedrooms have heaters, fans, air-conditioning, safes, hairdryers, tea trays, satellite television and some have fireplaces. In summer breakfast and dinner are served on the deep wooden verandah with sweeping Karoo views. Relax and unwind at the sparkling swimming pool. View plains game including eland, giraffe, and mountain zebra on a game drive. Abundant indigenous birdlife. Hiking and 4x4 trails.
