About Mwingi
Located in Kenya’s Kitui County of Kenya, Mwingi is a rural town set 200 kilometres east of Nairobi. Visitors can explore the dusty street of the town lined with colourful building and bustling market stalls. It serves as a great base from which to explore the incredible surrounding area including the scenic Mwingi National Reserve which encompasses a protected habitat for an abundance of wildlife and is home to the Adamson Falls. Visitors can also look forward to great fishing opportunities and boating on the beautiful Tana River as well as visiting the grave of Elsa the lioness.
