Cherangani Hills

Cherangani Hills are the northern end of the Kenyan Highlands, separating the Highlands from the desert to the north. They rise up to 3365 m (Cheptoket Peak) and offer excellent hiking with forests, scrub and moorland providing varied ecosystems for the varied birdlife. Unlike Kenya’s other mountains they are not volcanic which means easier walking, on the eastern side the hills plunge down into the Kerio Valley.
